Gerd Hans Hujahn (born July 31, 1961 in Verden (Aller) ) is a German politician ( SPD ). He has been a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament since 2017 .

Life

As a 17-year-old, Gerd Hujahn embarked on a career in the police force. From 1990 he studied social sciences at the University of Hanover , graduating in 1995 with a diploma in social science. He was head of operations in Hanover and Göttingen, and taught at the Hann. Münden and became head of personnel in the Göttingen police department .

Party and politics

For the SPD, Hujahn belongs to the city council of Hann. Münden and officiated as the local mayor in Lippoldshausen . In the state elections in Lower Saxony in 2017 , he won the direct mandate with 45.0% of the votes cast in the state electoral district of Göttingen / Münden . The turnout was 58.6%.

Hujahn is a member of the following committees in the Lower Saxony state parliament.
