Gerd Itzek

Gerd Itzek (born October 29, 1947 in Hütschenhausen ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After finishing secondary school, Itzek began a career in tax administration in 1964. By 1968 he completed his training for the middle and by 1973 for the upper class. He is married and has two children.

politics

In 1969 Itzek joined the SPD. From 1979 to 2004 he was a member of the city ​​council of Ludwigshafen am Rhein and from 1992 to 1996 he was chairman of the SPD Ludwigshafen. From 1983 to 2006 he was a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament , in which he represented constituency 35 (Ludwigshafen am Rhein I). In the state parliament, Itzek was chairman of the audit committee from 1987 to 1991 and then of the budget and finance committee until 1998, and of the budget committee from 2000 to 2001. From 2005 to 2006 he was deputy president of the state parliament.

Honors

In 2004 Itzek was awarded the Ludwigshafen Ring of Honor.
