Ring of honor of the city of Ludwigshafen am Rhein
The ring of honor of the city of Ludwigshafen am Rhein is the city's second highest award after honorary citizenship . The golden piece of jewelery, based on the city's coat of arms, is engraved with “For special merits”. It is awarded every five years. Exceptional commitment and dedication to the city and citizens are among the award criteria.

The award ceremony takes place in a ceremony by the mayor on the decision of the city council .
