Gerda von Staehr

Gerda von Staehr (born February 4, 1936 in Wuppertal -Elberfeld) is a German educational scientist and history didactician .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1955, Gerda von Staehr initially trained as an agricultural-technical assistant. During a multi-year stay in Brazil, she was a. a. worked as chief secretary in São Paulo . From 1962 to 1967 she worked as a secretary, translator and interpreter at the Brazilian embassy, ​​trade department, and as a clerk for development projects in the Latin America Center in Bonn .

After studying at the University of Education, Rhineland Department in Bonn and the University of Regensburg in the subjects of educational science, history, German studies, industrial studies as well as political science and public law, which she completed with the 1st and 2nd state exams for teaching at primary and secondary schools , she was initially a funding assistant at the University of Education in Bonn. After completing her doctorate , she worked there as a research assistant.

From 1979 until she retired in 2001, she was " Professor of Educational Science with special emphasis on didactics of history" at the University of Hamburg .
