Gerhard Andreas Schreiber (born June 13, 1960 in Limburg an der Lahn ) is a German manager and author.

Life

Schreiber studied geology at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen and completed an apprenticeship as an IT businessman.

Schreiber worked from 1993 to 1995 as a project officer in the White Paper Commission of the Austrian Federal Government for the European Commission in the integration of Austria into the EU. From 1995 to 2001 he was responsible for all activities in the field of new media in the Süddeutscher Verlag publishing group in Munich, including the Süddeutsche Zeitung online. From 1998 to 2001 he was managing director of Süddeutscher Verlag New Media GmbH in Munich and in a total of nine associated companies. From 2002 to 2005 he was managing director of Rhein-Main-Content GmbH in Frankfurt am Main, a monopoly for content marketing in print and electronic media. From 2005 to 2008 Schreiber headed DOAG Services GmbH in Berlin. From 2009 to 2012 he worked as a publishing director for the German Red Cross . Since 2012 Schreiber has been working as a research coordinator for national and international projects at the Experimental and Training Institute for Brewery (VLB) in Berlin; since April 2019 he has been the commercial director there.

Act

Schreiber wrote several specialist books, including the first publication on UMTS in Germany. In 2004, Schreiber won the innovation award from the Hessian Minister of Economics for the Location based Content on Mobile Devices project . He is a member of expert commissions such as E-Content of the European Commission in Luxembourg and Brussels. In his private life he works as a music composer (among others with the singer Markus ) and has released records in 25 countries.
