Gerhard Böhm (politician, 1935)

Gerhard Böhm (born December 22, 1935 in Krems an der Donau ) is a former Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and state official. From 1983 to 1998 he was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament .

Life

After attending elementary school, Böhm switched to a grammar school and completed his schooling with the Matura . He subsequently entered the service of the Province of Lower Austria and worked first in the personnel department and later in the staff representation. In 1981 he was promoted to chairman of the public service union in Lower Austria, and between 1987 and 1997 he was deputy chairman of the GÖD. In addition, from 1984 to 1992 Böhm was chairman of the central staff representation of the Lower Austrian state employees. Böhm was involved in local politics between 1985 and 1990 as a councilor in Klosterneuburg, and he also represented the ÖVP in the Lower Austrian state parliament between November 4, 1983 and April 16, 1998.
