Gerhard Krum

Gerhard Krum (born September 20, 1947 in Idstein ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and was Mayor of Idstein from 2002 to 2013.

In 1995 he joined the SPD. After being elected mayor of Idstein on September 16, 2001, he took up this position on January 14, 2002. He became the successor to Hermann Müller (CDU), who did not take up office after 24 years.

For the mayoral election on September 22, 2013, he did not run again. Christian Herfurth (CDU) sat down as successor with 56.1 percent (7,426 votes) against Krum's party friend Ellen Maurer-Genc (SPD) with 29.1 percent (3,858 votes), Corinna Schwarze (FDP) with 7.9 percent and Christoph Völke (independent) with 6.8 percent.
