Gerhard Paulmann

Gerhard Paulmann (born May 2, 1926 in Frankfurt am Main ; † September 1, 2012 ) was a German engineer and university professor .

Life

The son of a businessman completed his engineering studies with a diploma in 1955. In 1969 he was promoted to Dr. Ing. PhD. In 1972 he was appointed professor for traffic, road construction and road construction technology at the Technical University of Darmstadt . From 1974 he also headed the Research Institute for Roads there.

Paulmann has published over 80 articles and essays in scientific journals. In addition, since 1964 he was President of the Technical Committee of the International Tar Conference. For his research he received, among other things, the honorary award of the Lüer Foundation and the Lüer needle in 1968.

Gerhard Paulmann was married and the father of two children.
