Gerhard Schmidt (* July 1899 ; † unknown) was a German football player .

Schmidt belonged to the SpVgg 1899 Leipzig- Lindenau.

During its membership, the club won the championship twice in the Gau and - through temporary renaming - in the district of North West Saxony. Accordingly, he often took part with his club in the final round of the Central German Championship. Due to the two titles won by the Middle German Champion, he also took part in the two finals for the German Championship . He made his debut on May 21, 1922 at the Stadion am Zoo, the venue of VfL Halle 1896, in the 0-3 quarter-final defeat against 1. FC Nürnberg .
