The seventeenth German football championship saw the re-run of the 1922 endless finals . But this time the decision was made in regular time on the green grass. The 1. FC Nuremberg won his third title and so moved with champions VfB Leipzig same. It was the last time before World War II that a championship finals were played with eight teams or fewer.
Other German soccer champions that year were Dresdner SV 1910 at ATSB and DJK Katernberg at Deutsche Jugendkraft .
