societies

Sutor began playing football in 1908 at FC Franken Fürth , which was renamed FV Franken Fürth in 1912. Discovered in 1914 by William Townley , coach of SpVgg Fürth , he moved to this club. Until the end of the 1919/20 season, he played in the championships held by the South German Football Association , initially in the Eastern District, and most recently in the Northern Bavarian District League . While he was a member of the club, he won the Eastern District Championship in 1917. After he had moved into the final of the knockout system with the team , it was against FC Bayern Munichwon 4: 3 on aggregate after the first and second leg. With SpVgg Fürth, as defending champion from 1914 , he took part in the final round of the German championship in his last season . After he was successful in the quarter and semi-finals , he lost to 1. FC Nürnberg on June 13, 1920 in Frankfurt am Main with 0-2.

A move from Fürth to Nuremberg or vice versa was actually "an impossibility" at the time, due to the great rivalry between the two clubs. However, Sutor made the change in 1920 because his respect in the club was canceled because he had married a woman from Nuremberg. Until the end of the 1925/26 season he played for the club, his last three seasons in the more competitive and not divided into regional leagues Bayern district league . During his six-year club membership, in which he played 204 games, he won as many regional championships and, as a result, three German championships, to which he contributed in twelve final round games and three goals.

Sutor played - as “Glubberer” - for the senior national team twelve internationals , for which he made his debut on September 26, 1920 in Vienna in the 2: 3 defeat against the national team of Austria and with the goal to 1: 0 in the 56. Minute scored his first goal. The serious leg injury suffered on June 15, 1924 in Oslo in the 2-0 victory over the Norwegian national team - Walter Krause was substituted in the 68th minute - forced him to end his football career prematurely. His last appearance as a national player was on October 25, 1925 in Basel in a 4-0 victory over the Swiss national team .
