Match report

Against the overpowering Karlsruhe attack, the Kiel offered a very good defense. Max Breunig missed a hand penalty for KFV in the first half, which was caused by Alfred Werner from Kiel. So it stayed at 0-0 until the 90th minute. It was the first final in the history of the German championship that went into extra time. There was another penalty in the 114th minute, Julius Hirsch had been stopped illegally in the opinion of the referee. The penalty shot by Max Breunig again was touched by the good Kiel goalkeeper Rudolf Friese, but led to the final score 1-0. The corner kick balance was 12: 2 for the KFV.

Quote from Holstein President Karl Möller:

“About 4,000 spectators were present when our first entered the arena through a side door. To their great regret, our battle strollers could not accompany the team through the side door, which was only intended for the fighters, but had to pay 1.10 marks per man at the main entrance. The first disappointment! "
