Career

Leibold belonged to the Karlsruhe FC Phönix as a striker , for whom he was used in the 1902/03 championship organized by the Association of South German Football Associations in the Württemberg district .

The 1903/04 season he played for the BTuFC Britannia 1892 with which he won the Berlin championship held under the Association of Berliner Ballspielvereine straight away.

From 1904 to 1914 he played again for the Karlsruher FC Phönix, which from 1912 - through the merger with FC Alemannia - was called Karlsruher FC Phönix (Phönix-Alemannia) .

From 1904 to 1908 he played within the Südkreis in the Gau Mittelbaden, from 1908 to 1914 in the more competitive and not subdivided into Gaue Südkreis, from which he and his team emerged as champions in 1909 and thus also took part in the finals for the South German Championship . In this, his team prevailed first in front of the other three district champions. Winning the South German Championship entitled his team to participate in the final round of the German Championship . He denied the 5: 0 against the Munich-Gladbach FC 94 obtained quarter-finals , which with 9: 1 against the SC 1895 Erfurt obtained semi-final and the 4: 2 against the BTuFC Victoria 89 obtained final ; he scored at least one goal in every game - four in all. As defending champion he was used again in the 2-1 quarter-final victory at VfB Leipzig ; his club was eliminated in the semifinals with 1: 2 against the eventual German champions Karlsruher FV from the competition.
