Wilhelm Trump (life dates unknown) was a German football player and coach .

Career

Trump belonged from 1906 bis 1910 the Karlsruher FV on, for which he as a striker in the South German association football clubs discharged Championships in Südkreis disputed point games.

As a champion emerged from the Gau Mittelbaden in 1907 , he and his team took second place in the finals of the southern district championship ; the Freiburg FC finished this as well as the South German championship as a winner.

In the following season he again won the Gaume Championship in Central Baden and also took second place in the final round of the South District Championship - this time behind FC Stuttgarter Cickers , who later crowned themselves as South German champions.

The 1908/09 season was held for the first time in the more powerful and not divided into districts in the southern district. Trump finished this with his team in fourth place out of ten teams; Local rivals Karlsruher FC Phönix , who later became South German and German champions, became southern district champions.

The 1909/10 season , Trump's last for the Karlsruher FV, was his most successful. He first won the southern district championship after the decider for first place on March 6, 1910 in Pforzheim against the tied Karlsruher FC Phönix was won 3-0 and entitled to participate in the final round of the southern German championship ; this was completed as the winner without losing points.

In the subsequent final round of the German Championship , he was used twice. He played the quarter-finals, won 1-0 against Duisburg SpV on April 17, 1910 in Munich-Gladbach, and the semi-final against local rivals Karlsruher FC Phönix, won 2-1 on May 1, 1910 at the local KFV site at the Telegrafenkaserne . By a tendon strain suffered in the 15th minute, he weakened his team because he was no longer able to continue the game. The outnumbered team then turned out to be a bad loser and protested at the DFB because Trump was said not to have been eligible to play (however, he was already used in the quarter-finals of the championship finals). The protest was unsuccessful and Trump was injured in the final against Holstein Kiel. Since his team won this on May 15, 1910 in Cologne with a penalty converted by Max Breunig in the 114th minute with 1-0, he was also awarded the German championship title.

From 1910 to 1921 he belonged - switched to local rivals - to the Karlsruher FC Phönix, for which he continued as a defender until the end of the 1917/18 season , but with moderate success, apart from second place in 1912 , played point games in the southern district. After no South German finals were played in the preseason due to the war, but the game only took place in regional groups, Trump played his last two seasons in one of ten first-class regional regional leagues. The 1919/20 season ended in fourth place in the Baden District League, the 1920/21 season in the Southwest District League as fifth.
