The South German soccer championship 1910/11 of the federation of South German soccer clubs won the Karlsruhe FV unbeaten in the final tournament with six points ahead of the FA Bayern in the Munich SC . This was the seventh win of the southern German soccer championship for the Karlsruher, who thereby qualified for the German soccer championship 1910/11 . After a 4-0 win in the quarter-finals against TuFC Tasmania Rixdorf , the Karlsruhe team reached the semifinals against VfB Leipzig and had to admit defeat to Camillo Ugi 0-2 on the field of Frankfurt Victoria . This game, in which KFV center runner Max Breunig was absent due to injury, the Badeners were able to play openly for a long time and after the break, when they were 0: 1 behind, they played a power play, but could not score, and when the Saxons to 0: 2 increased, the KFV finally put on.
The competition mode remained unchanged compared to the previous season, teams competed against each other in four regional districts, the four district champions then played out the southern German football champions in a final round. For the first time, the master of the eastern district was determined in a single-track A-class, so that the regional leagues in all four districts were held in the same mode. Regarding the descent or the ascent from the B-Class, however, there was still no uniform regulation.
In the “mammoth league” with 13 clubs, the Frankfurter Kickers , Hanau 93 , FSV Frankfurt and SV Wiesbaden were almost tied after the preliminary round . The season was accompanied by numerous quarrels, protests after lost games were the order of the day, and as a result some games were canceled and had to be repeated. As the date of the southern German championship finals was getting closer and not all catch-up games were scheduled, the FSV and SVW fought head-to-head at the top of the table. In order to determine a champion in time, one even considered holding a knockout round with six teams at short notice. But when the FSV lost their game in Hanau and the SVW won there a week later, the district championship was decided, the team around Lehnhardt, the Roth brothers and striker Safran were four points ahead of the FSV. The yellow-blue had already shone with good placements in the years before, but it had never been enough to win a Northern District title.
Last year's champions FA Bayern in Munich SC defended their title confidently, only losing the game at FC Wacker Munich on November 6, 1910 with 1: 2, but with two victories over 1. FC Nürnberg on October 16 2: 1 or on December 18, 5: 3, keeping the sharpest rivals at a distance. The FCN also lost the Frankenderby at SpVgg Fürth with 1: 2, so that the season ended three points behind Bayern .
bMerged in 1911 with FC Franken Nürnberg and FC Vorwärts Nürnberg to form VfB Nürnberg .

The Karlsruher FV effortlessly secured the southern championship again with a squad that was almost unchanged from the championship year and filled with national players. Local rivals Phönix, the strongest competitor of previous seasons, fell behind this year, some players of the German champions from 1909 had passed their zenith, other top performers had to cut short for professional reasons.
In the A-Class of the Westkreis, the oldest Mannheim club, the 1896 football company, won again, with only one defeat at Olympia Darmstadt (0: 1) and a draw in Kaiserslautern (2: 2), but there were some high ones Wins, including a 9-2 win over old rivals Union. As in the previous year, the FG 1896 had no chance in the southern German finals. The big Mannheim clubs finally decided to merge to VfR Mannheim in the next season .
The reigning German champion Karlsruher FV showed no nakedness, won all six games of the final round and thus secured the southern German championship title again. The training work of William Townley and outstanding player talents, especially in the offensive area - the inner trio of Förderer - Fuchs - Hirsch was considered the best attack formation in Germany - ensured that even the runner-up FC Bayern had no chance and was clearly beaten 5-0 in the KFV-Platz at the Telegrafenkaserne has been.
