Germania Beiertheim
Germania Beiertheim was a sports club from the Baden-Württemberg city of Karlsruhe . In 1990 it was given the name Sportverein Karlsruhe-Beiertheim 1884/98 through the merger between the successor club Beiertheimer Fußballverein 1898 and the Turnerschaft 1884 Karlsruhe-Beiertheim .
history
FC Germania Beiertheim was founded in 1898 and joined the South German Football Association in 1903 . In 1907 the name of the club was changed to Beiertheimer Fußballverein 1898 . Three years later, the BFV was promoted to the A-Class and was first class in the 1910/11 season . The 1911/12 season ended in last place in the southern district relay. After a league reform, the BFV failed in a decision-making round on August 25, 1912 due to a 3: 4 defeat against VfB Stuttgart to qualify for the first-class Südkreisliga. In the 1921/22 season, the BFV played in Division I of the Baden District League. After that, you were only represented in the lower classes of the Badischer Fußballverband .
On August 20, 1920, the inauguration of the sports facility took place with a friendly match against the Stuttgart Sports Club (1: 3). In 1937 there was access to the football department of the Post Sports Club, which joined the club. On December 12, 1945, the two clubs Beiertheimer Fußballverein 1898 eV and the Turnerschaft 1884 Karlsruhe-Beiertheim eV, founded on November 12, 1884, merged . V. to the gymnastics and sports club Beiertheim (TuS) . In 1954, after a reasonable basis for the independence of the two old clubs had been found, they separated. Each of the two clubs went their own way again according to their old tradition. On June 16, 1980 the sports club Karlsruhe-Beiertheim (SVK) was founded as an "umbrella club".
