The Lahrer FV was a pure football club with around 530 members (as of May 2009) from Lahr / Black Forest in southern Baden .
history
The Lahrer FV was founded in 1903 under the name 1. FC Lahr . In 1911 the club merged with Alemannia Lahr to form Lahrer FV. In terms of sport, the club played for one season ( 1939/40 ) in the Gauliga Südbaden / Offenburg until 1945 .
In the post-war years, the club played until 1949 as Sportfreunde Lahr (see also German football championship 1945/46 ), mainly in the then 1st amateur league in South Baden and for one season in the football league in 1949/50 . The greatest success was the runner-up in the 1971/72 season and participation in the German amateur championship , which was only eliminated in the quarter-finals at the eventual winner FSV Frankfurt . In the 1980s, the Lahrer FV rose to the lowest class, the district league B. In 1989 he was promoted to the district league A, in 1991 the promotion to the district league and in 1995 the return to the regional league. In 1997, the state league championship and promotion to the Association League South Baden was achieved. This guest appearance only lasted two years. After a sixth place in the national league season 1999/2000, relegation was only just secured in the following three game rounds. In 2012, after 13 years as champions of the national league season 1, they returned to the association league, from which they returned to the national league in 2013. In the 2014/15 season, Lahrer FV rose again to the association league after relegation.
On July 1, 2015, the association was dissolved. At this point in time, the members will be transferred to the newly founded SC Lahr . This was founded as a merger of the two Lahr core city associations Lahrer FV and Spvgg Lahr.
