Willi Zincke (born January 4, 1886 in Berlin , † December 5, 1957 in Kiel ) was a German football player .

Career

Zincke, who had been trained as a telegraph assistant at the Reichspost , played in Berlin for Britannia 92 Berlin and the BFC Preussen and was also appointed to the selection games of the Berlin city selection. During his military service he came to Kiel in October 1909, where he played football for Holstein Kiel . With Kiel he won the North German Championship in 1909/10 with a 7-1 final victory over Werder Bremen , then he won the quarter and semi-finals over his ex-club Prussia (4-1, 2 goals) and TuFC Tasmania Rixdorf ( 6: 0, 3 goals) played a decisive role in reaching the final of the German soccer championship 1909/10 . The final, which was held in Cologne on May 15, 1910, was lost to Karlsruher FV in extra time due to a penalty goal by Max Grafe in the 114th minute .

After that he was initially active again for BFC Preussen in Berlin before returning to Kiel in the spring of 1911. With the selection of the North German Football Association , he won the Crown Prince Cup in 1910/11 . Zincke was originally a center forward, but regularly dropped back to take over the build-up of the game. In the championship finals in 1912, however, he acted in the middle position and was also the central player in his other functions: he was team captain, part of the game committee, which was responsible for the lineup, and head of the practice units.

A year later he was again in the final of the German championship with Holstein Kiel and met the Karlsruher FV there again. A penalty goal by Ernst Möller brought a 1-0 success on Hamburg's Victoria-Platz and thus the first and to date only championship title in Kiel club history. The title defense a year later failed due to a 1: 2 defeat at Duisburg SpV .

Zincke was active for Holstein until the early 190s, was made honorary captain in 1920 and after his active career was part of the game committee and worked as a volunteer trainer.
