Gerhard Schmidt (athlete)

Gerhard Schmidt (born January 12, 1961 ) is a former German pole vaulter .

At the European Athletics Indoor Championships in 1984 in Gothenburg, he was fourth.

In 1981 he became German champion and 1984 runner-up. In the hall he was German champion in 1985 and runner-up in 1984.

Gerhard Schmidt started for VT Zweibrücken.
