Gerhard von Ruppin
Gerhard von Ruppin , also Gerardus de Ruppin , was titular bishop of Laodicea in Syria and is named as auxiliary bishop in the diocese of Cammin for 1426 .
He was a Dominican . It is not known whether the suffix "von Ruppin" refers to his membership in the Dominican convent in Neuruppin . In 1409 he appeared as papal envoy in Stralsund in order to release the city from the episcopal ban in the context of the dispute between the city and the Schwerin bishop Rudolf , which had developed after the events of the Papenbrand thom Sunde (1407).
He was appointed titular bishop of Laodicea in Syria by the Pope in 1426 and appeared in the same year as auxiliary bishop in the diocese of Cammin .
