Germán Andrés Conti (born June 3, 1994 in Santa Fe ) is an Argentine soccer player . He has been under contract with the Portuguese first division club Benfica Lisbon since 2018 and has been playing for Atlas Guadalajara on loan in Mexico since the beginning of 2020 .

Club career

Germán Conti comes from the youth of CA Colón , in which he played until 2013. He made his professional debut on December 9, 2013 in the 1-0 away defeat of his club in the league match at Olimpo de Bahía Blanca on the starting line-up. He had to accept a red card in stoppage time.

At the beginning of the 2015 season, Conti earned a regular place in the club's central defense. In the following two and a half years he played in the league always in the starting line-up and was not used in only four of a possible 76 games during this time, whereby he had to pause in two of these games due to respective bans due to too many yellow cards.

On May 25, 2018, the Portuguese first division club Benfica Lisbon announced that Conti would be signed from July of that year. Conti received a contract until mid-2023.
