The German Occupation Museum ( German  "Museum of German Occupation" ) on Guernsey illustrates the time during World War II when the German Wehrmacht occupied the British Channel Islands .

It began on June 30, 1940, when the first Ju 52 of the Air Force on the airfield landing from Guernsey, and ended on May 9, 1945, one day after the unconditional surrender of the armed forces when British troops entered the island and the German occupation troops interned .

The museum is located in the south of the island on Les Houards road . It was founded in 1966 by the young Richard Heaume and has developed into a remarkable place to remember the five years of occupation. The museum's collections include a large number of original exhibits that illustrate the life of the local population and the occupiers at the time. This includes a replica command post with an anti-tank gun 4.7 cm PaK 36 (t) captured by the Wehrmacht during the occupation of Czechoslovakia and an Enigma M4 rotor key machine .
