The Gerontius Glacier is a glacier on the West Antarctic Alexander I Island . From the Elgar Uplands it flows north to the Tufts Pass .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1977 based on the designation of the Elgar Uplands. It is named after the oratorio The Dream of Gerontius by the British composer Edward Elgar from 1900.
