Mount Gerpir is located in the east fjords of Iceland .
It reaches a height of 661 m and forms the easternmost point of the island. It is located between the uninhabited bays Sandvík and Vöðlavík . The latter can be reached via the Helgustaðavegur (road 954) and the Vöðlavíkurvegur (road 958) from Eskifjörður (23 km). The area (Gerpissvæðið) belongs to the municipality of Fjarðabyggð in the district of Suður-Múlasýsla .
