The Regionale Kliniken Holding RKH GmbH with its seven acute clinics, an orthopedic specialist clinic and a geriatric rehabilitation clinic in the districts of Ludwigsburg (Kliniken Ludwigsburg-Bietigheim gGmbH and Orthopädische Klinik Markgröningen gGmbH), Enzkreis (Enzkreis-Kliniken gGmbH) and Karlsruhe (Kliniken des Landkreis ) ) and its respective subsidiaries is a municipal company and the largest provider of inpatient hospital services in Baden-Württemberg .
history
With effect from January 1, 2005, the Regionale Kliniken Holding Neckar-Schwarzwald GmbH was founded as a holding company. In the sense of a strategic partnership, the Enzkreis-Kliniken gGmbH contributed 51% of the Enzkreis-Kliniken gGmbH and the Ludwigsburg district together with the city of Bietigheim-Bissingen contributed 51% of the Ludwigsburg-Bietigheim gGmbH clinics.
After the successful acquisition by the Ludwigsburg district and the Ludwigsburg-Bietigheim gGmbH clinics, the Orthopedic Clinic Markgröningen OKM gGmbH including its subsidiary ORTEMA GmbH came under the umbrella of the holding company on July 1, 2007.
On January 1, 2009, the district of Karlsruhe transferred 51% of its clinics in the district of Karlsruhe gGmbH, including the subsidiary Service Dienst Landkreis Karlsruhe GmbH, to this company. Since the strategic partnership has spanned a large region since then, the holding was renamed Regionale Kliniken Holding RKH GmbH .

The RKH-Klinikverbund has more than 2,500 beds at nine clinic locations, around 8,000 employees, around 115,000 inpatients per year and total assets of around 900 million euros.
Shareholder
The shareholders of Regionale Kliniken Holding RKH GmbH consist of Kliniken Ludwigsburg-Bietigheim gGmbH (65%), Enzkreis-Kliniken gGmbH (13%) and the Kliniken des Landkreis Karlsruhe gGmbH (22%).
The Ludwigsburg-Bietigheim gGmbH's shareholders are in turn the Ludwigsburg district (36.75%), the city of Bietigheim-Bissingen (12.25%) and the Regional Kliniken Holding (51%).

education
In addition to more than 500 training positions in 9 clinics, the RKH Academy offers dual courses of study in health management, medical informatics, social work in health care and medical technology, as well as commercial and IT professions. Since May 2019, there has also been a cooperation with the Paracelsus Medical Private University in Salzburg (PMU) for a degree in nursing. The RKH Academy also offers further training courses, places for the voluntary social year, the federal voluntary service and internships.
The further training of the staff takes place largely via e-learning . For doctors there is the simulation center in Vaihingen.
