Gerrick von Hoyningen-Huene

Gerrick Freiherr von Hoyningen-Huene (born February 16, 1944 in Kempten (Allgäu) ) is a German legal scholar .

Gerrick von Hoyningen-Huene comes from the Baltic noble family Hoyningen-Huene . From 1964 to 1968 he studied law at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich. He was awarded a Dr. jur. obtained his doctorate from the University of Munich and completed his habilitation in 1977 with Götz Hueck, also at the University of Munich. In 1981 he was appointed professor at Heidelberg University to the chair of civil law, labor law and social security law, which he held until his retirement in August 2009. From 2009 to 2014 he was also the founding dean of the EBS Law School at the EBS University of Economics and Law .

Hoyningen-Huene conducts research primarily in the field of labor law , in particular in works constitution law and employment protection law.
