Gert Hagmann

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Gert Hagmann is a German engineer specializing in power electronics and electrical drive technology. He taught a total of 66 semesters, initially at the State Engineering School for Mechanical Engineering in Steinfurt, until this was absorbed by the Münster University of Applied Sciences .

In 1960 Gert Hagmann began studying electrical engineering in Hanover, which he completed after nine semesters as a graduate engineer. He then worked on his doctorate for four years, which he finished with excellent results. He began teaching as a lecturer at the State Engineering School for Mechanical Engineering in Steinfurt. At the end of 1973 he was given the status of a technical college teacher with the associated professor title and retired in 2003.

In his apprenticeship, he covered the basic subjects of electrical engineering, power electronics and electrical drive technology and headed the laboratory for electrical machines and power electronics. Hagmann was also chairman of the examination office. Hagmann was one of the founding members of the Münster University of Applied Sciences and was active in the university administration. For several years he was a member of the Senate and Convention and for a long time headed the Electrical Engineering Department as Dean and Vice Dean.
