Gert Jannsen
Gert Jannsen (born April 7, 1939 in Niebüll ) is a German geographer, university professor and politician ( Greens ). He was a member of the German Bundestag in the 10th electoral term (1983–1987), but left the Bundestag after just two years, on March 1, 1985, due to the principle of rotation . His successor in the German Bundestag was the pedagogue and non-party Heidemarie Dann from Hanover. Jannsen was Professor of Geography at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg from 1975 to 2004 .
In the 1960s, Jannsen started walking for the Berlin sports club . In 1963 he was German champion in 50-kilometer walking , in 1964 he took third place over 20 kilometers.
