Gesa Schwartz (born July 17, 1980 in Stade ) is a German writer.

Life

After graduating from high school, Gesa Schwartz studied German philology , philosophy and German as a foreign language .

Her special interest has always been in the genre of the fantastic . After graduating, she embarked on a year-long journey through Europe in the footsteps of the ancient storytellers.

With her trilogy about the Gargoyle Grim she made her big breakthrough. For the first part, Grim. The Seal of Fire (2010) Gesa Schwartz received the German Fantastic Prize in 2011 in the category Best German-language debut novel . The second volume was published in April 2011 under the title Grim. The legacy of light .

Gesa Schwartz currently lives in a circus wagon near Hamburg.
