All-Ethiopian unit organization

The Gesamtäthiopische unit organization , (also All-Ethiopian Unity Party , Amharic የመላ ኢትዮጵያ አንድነት ድርጅት transcribed YeMela Ityopya Andinet Deredjet ( መኢአድ ), English All Ethiopia Unity Organization ; abbreviation AEUO ) is an opposition political party in the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia .

In the parliamentary elections on May 15, 2005 , the party ran as part of the Coalition for Unity and Democracy , which won 109 of the 527 seats in the House of Representatives . The All-Ethiopian Unity Organization won 43 seats in the parliamentary elections with 8.18 percent of the vote, making it the largest party within the Coalition for Unity and Democracy and the largest opposition party in the Ethiopian parliament. Of these 43 parliamentary seats, 42 went to male MPs and only one to a female MP.
