The Ziem office building is located on the corner of Heinrich-Heine-Allee and Bolkerstraße in Düsseldorf's old town .

In 1930 the optician Gustav Ziem (1856–1936) awarded the architect Bernhard Pfau the building contract for a residential and commercial building on Hindenburgwall (today Heinrich-Heine-Allee). It was built from 1930 to 1931 and was considered the most modern commercial building in Düsseldorf. The facade is clad with shell limestone and sandstone slabs. The building appears as a massive, closed cube. Pfau also designed the shop on the ground floor including the furniture.
