Protected landscape component of alder field trees

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The protected landscape component of alder field trees with an area of 0.23  hectares is located northwest of Altenfeld in the urban area of Winterberg . The area was designated as a protected landscape component (LB) in 2008 when the Winterberg landscape plan was drawn up by the district council of the Hochsauerlandkreis . The LB is surrounded by the nature reserve Bödefelder Mulde (Winterberg) .

Area description

It is an alder field with old, multi-shoot alders and seepage springs in the middle of an extensive grassland slope. The barely noticeable course of a Siepen, which begins a little above and flows a good 500 m below into the Walbecke stream, runs in the field trees. Through drainage measures and backfilling of the terrain, the sieving beneath the wood has disappeared over a length of over 200 m. The alder field is a legally protected biotope according to § 30 BNatSchG .
