Protected landscape component flat ridge

The protected landscape component flat ridge with a size of 1.74 ha is located northeast of Bödefeld in the urban area of Schmallenberg . The area was designated as a protected landscape component (LB) in 1993 with the Schmallenberg Southeast landscape plan by the district council of the Hochsauerlandkreis . The LB consists of five sub-areas and is surrounded by intensively used grassland in the Bödefelder Mulde nature reserve .

Area description

The protected landscape component flat ridge consists of five flat mountain ridges on the Buchhagen mountain . In the LB there are fallow land, gorse bushes, groups of trees and spruce plantations.

Protection purpose

Protected object, which, according to the landscape plan, clearly differs in its independent character from the surrounding forest and field landscape.
