Protected part of the landscape of woodland on the K 69

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The protected landscape component of woodland on the K 69 is on the county road 69 between Meerhof and Essentho in the urban area of Marsberg . The area was designated in 2008 with the Marsberg landscape plan by the district council of the Hochsauerlandkreis as a protected landscape component (LB). The main part of the LB is in the Paderborn Plateau landscape protection area and a smaller part in the Randhöhen landscape protection area between Sintfeld and Diemeltal .

description

The landscape plan explains the LB: “The woody planting on Kreisstraße 69 between Essentho and Meerhof is of considerable importance for the structuring of the largely cleared field on the eastern edge of the Sintfeld, despite its relatively young age for woody protected objects. In its exposed, partly light hilltop location, it appears in parts as an avenue, in other parts more like a hedge; always represents the first larger structural element east of the foothills of the Fürstenberg Forest, which are already located in the Paderborn district. In addition to this formative function in the landscape, it potentially forms a retreat for small animals in the event of disturbances on the adjacent agricultural areas. For further development, compliance with the parcel boundaries is essential for arable farming. "

Protection purpose

The designation as LB took place:

  • To maintain, develop or restore the efficiency and functionality of the natural balance
  • For revitalizing, structuring or maintaining the townscape and landscape
  • To ward off harmful effects

Like the other LBs in the landscape plan area, the LB represents an outstanding habitat for the ecological performance of the natural balance. It also serves as an element that structures and animates the landscape. The designation serves to ward off real or potential harmful effects through the removal of plants, relief or water changes, etc.
