Description in the landscape plan: “The landscape component is located west of the B 54 south of Rummenohl . It is moist, swampy grassland, fragments of alluvial forest and natural deciduous forest stands on the mountainside to the west. In the forest there is still a herbaceous ravine, a spring area and a near-natural brook sept. "

Protection purpose

According to the landscape plan, the designation was made “to ensure the efficiency of the natural balance by maintaining a habitat for the communities of the source areas, streams, swamp areas, alluvial forests, wet meadows and pastures and indigenous forest communities”.
