Protected landscape component Triftweg Hildfeld
The protected landscape component Triftweg Hildfeld with an area of 0.66 hectares is located north of Hildfeld in the urban area of Winterberg . The area was designated as a protected landscape component (LB) in 2008 when the Winterberg landscape plan was drawn up by the district council of the Hochsauerlandkreis . The LB borders directly on the Hildfeld development in the south and on the Hildfeld quarry in the north.
Area description
The LB is a hedge structure on a farm road. In the northern part there is a loose wooded field with warmth-loving fringes. At the northern end there is an overgrown group of beeches that may have emerged from a coppice-like use. The Triftweg was previously used to drive cattle to the Neuer Hagen, today the Neuer Hagen nature reserve .
