Geschmeido is a German rock - / pop - band . It was founded in 1996 in Freiburg im Breisgau and has been operating from Berlin since 2003. She has been under contract with Wallpaper Records since 2007 .

Until shortly after the album Auf Wiedersehen , Franz Frowein (guitar) was a permanent member of the band. He left in the summer of 2007. The drummer Stefan Wittich is also engaged with the band Tele , which is also under contract with Wallpaper Records .
The music and lyrics come from multi-instrumentalist Philippe Frowein, who also works as a producer together with Stefan St. John. The debut album Between Meals was recorded and produced by Tobias Levin ( Cpt. Kirk &. ) In his Hamburg Electric Avenue Studio. The albums Same Same and Auf Wiedersehen were recorded and produced privately.
The band repeatedly takes breaks that can last several years. However, she usually reports on her website when there is news.
The band was represented with several contributions to the must all with compilations from Wallpaper Records : Between Meals (1998), Tell Me We Never Sleep (2004), Goodbye (2007), also with seagulls (as decoration) on wallpaper 100 (2007).
