The Switzerland-Palestine Society (GSP, French Association Suisse-Palestine , Italian Associazione Svizzera-Palestina ) is an association to promote friendship between Switzerland and the people in the State of Palestine . She holds lectures and panel discussions, organizes study trips as well as rallies and relief actions in favor of Palestine.

The company was founded in 1976. It emerged from regional Palestine committees. The central secretariat of the organization is located in Bern .

The GSP saw itself as an anti-imperialist movement until April 1978 , after which the focus was on friendship between the two nations.

From 2003 to 2017 Daniel Vischer , National Councilor of the Green Party , was President of the GSP.

The GSP sometimes confronts Switzerland-Israel society in the media .

Part of the estate of the Zurich section of the GSP has been in the Swiss Social Archives since 1998 . It includes protocols, files, archival copies of GSP newspapers and documents on projects.

Publications

The organs of the GSP included the publications Palestine and Fighting Palestine and, from 1984, the publication Blickpunkt Palestine.
