Society for University Research

The Society for University Research (GfHf) was founded in 2006 in Kassel. It is run as a non-profit association and in 2015 comprises around 350 active members from all areas of research on universities (“ university research ”). The board is elected for two years at the general assembly during the annual meetings in even years. The GfHf offers university researchers from various specialist disciplines the opportunity to conduct an interdisciplinary discourse on the subject of research " University ". The Society for University Research gives young scientists a platform for exchange with other young professionals and established scientists. The GfHf is also increasingly involved in the area of ​​internationalization and initiates cooperation with research companies in German-speaking countries.

The company provides the external representation of university research with the pillars science, management and politics.

Annual meetings

Once a year the board organizes a conference on a current topic of university research , at which the Ulrich Teichler Prize for outstanding dissertations / theses is ceremoniously awarded. As part of the annual meetings , the general assembly and every two years in even years also the board elections take place.

The Higher Education Research edited research issues raised by changes in higher education systems are raised and the relationship between science and society. Board

Georg Krücken (INCHER, University of Kassel) has been the chairman of the GfHf since 2014 . The German-Chinese cooperation is represented for the GfHf by Margret Bülow-Schramm (2nd chairwoman of the society, until 2014 chairwoman).
