Society for Interlinguistics
The Society for Interlinguistics eV (GIL) focuses on interlinguistics , language policy , planned languages and Esperantology . The association was founded in Berlin in 1991. Detlev Blanke was chairman for many years . Since November 2011, Sabine Fiedler has been chairwoman of the society, which currently has around 65 members in around 10 countries, mostly linguists.
activities
The activities of the GIL include the implementation of annual conferences and the publication of the lectures held there in the conference files, the promotion of lectures and publications by members and cooperation with institutions and specialist colleagues with similar interests. The Bulletin Interlinguistic Information was published quarterly until 2016 . An interlinguistic blog was created as a successor format.
