The Society for Kiel City History is a city ​​history association founded on December 10, 1875 in the legal form of a registered association with its registered office in Kiel .

Goal and publications

The aim of the company is to promote research on the history of the city of Kiel, to arouse citizens' awareness of their own history and to make a contribution to cultural diversity.

To achieve this goal, the society publishes the notices of the Gesellschaft für Kieler Stadtgeschichte as well as the series of special publications by the Gesellschaft für Kieler Stadtgeschichte .
