Society for Church History in Lower Saxony

The Society for Church History of Lower Saxony is an association that aims to research church history in the state of Lower Saxony . The seat is in Hanover , the office is in the regional church archive of the Evangelical Lutheran regional church of Hanover .

tasks

The company was founded in 1895. Its aim is to promote and stimulate research into church history in Lower Saxony.

The society provides advice on the development of documents or regional church history on site. It organizes conferences, excursions, arranges lectures and maintains contact with members and interested persons and other agencies. Members' meetings take place regularly.

The society publishes the yearbook of the Society for Lower Saxony Church History (until 1940: magazine , abbreviated ZGNK), in which essays, miscommunications , articles and reviews on topics relevant to church history, books and the like are published. In addition, accompanying booklets, individual works and the book series Studies on the Church History of Lower Saxony are published.
