Faces of Democracy ( English : "Faces of Democracy") is a non-party initiative that was founded in Kaarst in February 2017 . The aim of the initiative is to set an example to protect and strengthen democracy , pluralism and freedom of the press and to draw attention to the increasing dangers of protectionism and partial nationalism. On September 11, 2019, the organizers announced the launch of the "Faces of Peace" initiative as a peace-building equivalent.
