Gesundheit Nord ( GeNo ) is a non-profit association of municipal clinics in the city of Bremen . The clinic association is one of the most important employers in the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen .
history
As of February 2014, the corporate structure of Geno was changed by a resolution of the Senate so that the four clinics would give up their legal independence as GmbHs by August 2014 at the latest and will be merged into one company under Geno. The association thus supplies around 200,000 patients in 51 specialist departments (clinics, centers, etc.) with around 2,500 beds and around 7,000 employees (= 4,290 full-time employees)
In mid-May 2018, the Bremen Senate decided to financially support the ailing Klinikverbund Gesundheit Nord (GeNo) through a supplementary budget for 2018 and 2019 with a total of around 205 million euros. Two upcoming loans from the city of Bremen are to be extended and the equity capital increased.
Locations
All clinics are either houses of the special treatment or the maximum care . They are spread across the entire city of Bremen. Belong to the clinic network
