Get Heavy is the debut album by the Finnish hard rock band Lordi . It was produced by TT Oksala in 2002.
Get Heavy was released in 2002 by Drakkar Records ( Sony BMG ) in Finland and offers a wide range, which is explained by the fact that after 10 years of banding it was put together from a series of demos. Unlike the follow-up albums, all of the pieces were written by singer Mr. Lordi. Only parts of the song "Monster, Monster" were written by Tracy Lipp . Although bassist Kalma does not play on this album, he is listed as a bassist. The bass is played on the Magnum album, to which the album is also dedicated. Furthermore, Get Heavy includes a thank you to the band KISS . The band members are fans of this group and got to know each other through the KISS Army fan club , the chairman of which was lead singer Mr. Lordi for some time. The booklet of the album is very elaborately designed by Mr. Lordi and Mika Lindberg and includes some band photos by Jouko Lehtola and some drawings by Mr. Lordi.
