The vocational training school ( BAS ) or the commercial-technical vocational training school ( BAG ) is a one-year school form of vocational training in Germany .

People who have completed relevant vocational training ( skilled worker certificate of the dual system or similar) are admitted to the vocational training school. It leads to passing the final exams for Fachschulreife (equivalent: high school , high-school diploma ). The subject canon of the vocational school includes all typical school subjects (foreign language English) and a profile subject, but usually without art, music and biology. The majority of the graduates then attend other types of school such as technical college , technical grammar school , vocational grammar school , vocational school and the like.
