diplomacy

There are no direct diplomatic relations between the two states. Since August 2018, Ghana and Nauru have jointly belonged to the “Climate and Security” group of friends within the United Nations for the development of solutions for the security consequences of climate change .

economy

Both states also maintain trade relations . The Republic of Nauru exported goods and services valued at around US $ 300,000 to Ghana between 1996 and 2013 . The largest share of these exports was made up of automobiles (17 percent), palm oil (15 percent), rapeseed oil and polypropylene (13 percent each). During the same period, Nauru imported goods and services from the West African country valued at around $ 900,000, mostly processed fish (94 percent) and sawn timber (five percent).
