Ghofrane Haddaoui

Ghofrane Haddaoui (* 1980 or 1981 in Tunis ; † October 17, 2004 in Marseille ) was a French boutique saleswoman of Tunisian origin who was stoned at the age of 23, a few days before her marriage. She is the first known victim of a stoning on the territory of the European Union . The main culprit was a 17-year-old Tunisian who, together with a 16-year-old accomplice, killed the young woman by throwing stones. The two killers were sentenced to 23 years in prison.
