Ghulam Noor Rabbani Khar

Ghulam Noor Rabbani Khar is a Pakistani politician.

He was elected to the National Assembly for the city of Muzaffargarh in 1990 and 1997 . He had previously been elected to the Punjab Assembly in 1985 and 1988 . There he was Minister of the Provincial Government under Nawaz Sharif from 1988 to 1990 . In 2002 he was no longer allowed to run for the National Assembly because, following a change in the law, he lacked the required school leaving certificate.

Ghulam Noor Rabbani Khar owns large estates in Punjab Province. His father Mohammed Yar Khar and his grandfather Malik Gulam were wealthy landowners. The family belongs to the Kharral tribe.

He is the father of Pakistani Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar and the younger brother of Ghulam Mustafa Khar .
