The Keru Lhakhang ( Tibetan : ཀེ་ རུ་ ལྷ་ ཁང, inscription after Wylie : ke ru lha khang ; Gêrulhakang ) is a monastery of the Nyingma tradition, the oldest of the four great schools of Tibetan Buddhism . It is located in Kerpa Township (Tib .: sker pa . སྐེར་ པ ། / 结巴 乡Jieba Xiang ) in Nedong County in the Tibet Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China . The original buildings of the temple date back to the 8th century, extensions to the time after the 16th century.
Keru Lhakhang has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (5-412) since 2001 .
